Chuck Durante (Orthopaedic Shoe Technician), has 30 years experience as an OST. His specialty is in assessing and improving gait through a means of shoe modifications and/or orthotics and proper shoes. He is an extremely competent shoe fitter and has previously taught at NPS in Milwaukee, WI for eleven years. He is also a State Licensed Pedorthist.
Marty Espinoza
Marty Espinoza has been involved in the shoe business for the past 28 years. In that time he has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge to help his customers with a wide variety of foot problems and can always find the perfect shoe for their foot.
Marty is a real ‘people-person’. He enjoys working at Waxberg’s Walk Shoppe because it is a company that genuinely cares about their customers, and puts so much emphasis on making sure each customer is properly fit.
Dawn Gorom
Dawn became a certified pedorthist in 2000, and started her career working with orthopedic surgeons at Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee. Since moving to Chicago, she has been furthering her career by working closely with orthopedic surgeons, as well as podiatrists and their patients, on the foot and ankle teams.
George Kondiles
George Kondiles started working with shoes as a youngster when he assisted his father in the family shoe repair store. After graduating from college, George became a Certified Orthopedic Technician. George opened his own custom shoe/shoe repair store where he made shoes for stage, film and hard to fit feet. You may have seen George's work on the Bozo show or movies such as Uncle Buck!
George continued his journey in Pedorthic education completing classes at Northwestern University and becoming a Certified Pedorthist in 1995. George now continues as an Adjunct educator at Northwestern University. In addition George teaches occasionally at Scholl's school of Podiatry.
George (Goose) Matgous
George (Goose) Matgous has been in the shoe business since he was 18 years old. The early part of his career was spent on the fashion end where he developed a keen eye for style while managing stores such as Joseph's shoes . The past 20 years have been focused more on the comfort and fitting end of the business. He decided it was more gratifying helping his customers find shoes that helped them be more comfortable, walk better and lead fuller lives. Goose brings more than 50 years of fitting experience the Waxbergs team.
Ron Waxberg
Ron Waxberg has been involved with the shoe business since he was 15 years old. He has been a Certified Pedorthist since 1981 and President of Waxbergs since 1986. His education as a Pedorthist started at Ball State University in 1981 where he was Certified and has continued with hundreds of hours of continuing education. His knowledge of the Pedorthic field has been greatly enhanced by many of the area foot and ankle physicians he has worked with over the past 30 years as part of their patient care teams.
Irwin Berkowitz

Randi Wright
Randi Wright has been involved in the shoe business for 25 years. Her background is in fashion merchandising and design. Randi is a very creative and organized professional who gets involved with her clients to make certain that their every expectation is met.
