What is a Pedorthist?
Every foot is powered and held together by 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 tendons, muscles and ligaments. This makes our feet a very complex structure. As Board Certified/Licensed Pedorthists, we are members of the allied healthcare community, and are also licensed by the State of Illinois. We are trained in both foot anatomy as well as shoe construction and qualified to fill prescriptions for footwear modifications as well as related devices for the proper function and amelioration of the foot and lower limb.
We work with many of Chicagolands most prominent Podiatrists, Orthopedists, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists as well as many other types of Doctors and allied healthcare professionals.
